Learn classical singing

Indian classical music is very closely connected to nature, taking inspiration from natural phenomena including the seasons and times of the day to create ‘ragas’ or musical moods and many time cycles or ‘taals’ that have been further codified. Learning Hindustani Classical Music acts as an natural anti-depressant. Classical Music has a calming effect, it is said to normalize the abnormal blood flow and make you feel at ease and more peaceful. It improves your mood drastically and hence, helps to cope with depression.

Ideas THAT YOU WILL BE GETTING ABOUT FROM OUR CLASSES:

wESTERN mUSIC

Western music is a form of country music formed by and about individuals who settled and worked all through the Western United States and Western Canada. Western music commends the way of life of the rancher on the open reaches, Rocky Mountains, and grasslands of Western North America.

iNDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC

Indian classical music or Hindustani Classical Music is the traditional music of the Indian subcontinent. It has two significant practices: the North Indian classical music known as Hindustani and the South Indian articulation known as Carnatic.

JAZZ

Jazz, musical form, often improvisational, developed by African Americans and influenced by both European harmonic structure and African rhythms. It was developed partially from ragtime and blues and is often characterized by syncopated rhythms, polyphonic ensemble playing, varying degrees of improvisation, often deliberate deviations of pitch, and the use of original timbres.

PIANO

Piano, also called pianoforte, French piano or pianoforte, German Klavier, a keyboard musical instrument having wire strings that sound when struck by felt-covered hammers operated from a keyboard. The standard modern piano contains 88 keys and has a compass of seven full octaves plus a few keys.

ROCK

Rock music is a broad genre of popular music that originated as “rock and roll” in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s, developing into a range of different styles in the mid-1960s and later, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom. It has its roots in 1940s and 1950s rock and roll, a style that drew directly from the blues and rhythm and blues genres of African-American music and from country music.

BLUES

The blues form, ubiquitous in jazz, rhythm and blues and rock and roll, is characterized by the call-and-response pattern, the blues scale and specific chord progressions, of which the twelve-bar blues is the most common. Blue notes (or “worried notes”), usually thirds, fifths or sevenths flattened in pitch are also an essential part of the sound. Blues shuffles or walking bass reinforce the trance-like rhythm and form a repetitive effect known as the groove.
